Training

At Wolf Creek we specialize in starting young horses , but can also restart older horses, give tune-up rides, condition your horse and work to your special needs program.  Here at Wolf Creek our focus is on giving a horse a solid foundation.  Without that, nothing will stand.

The general outcome at the end of month one is walk, trot, canter.  For a really good foundation, it is recommended at least three to four month of riding.  It just fine tunes everything learned in the first month, plus creates a better broke horse with a solid foundation.

Of course no one knows your horse as well as you do and all training procedures will be reviewed and altered depending on your goals.

Our trainer comes from 4 generations of horse people starting with is great-grandfather who owned a race course just outside of Dublin, Ireland.  Trevor rides both English and Western and competed in the very first year of the Trillium Circuit in Central East zone.  He went on to hot walk and exercise for Windfield Farms, Samson Farms, Roger Attwood and others. With over 25 years in the horse industry and numerous winning protégées, you can be sure your horse is in knowledgeable, gentle hands.
